THE WHY? ❤️‍🩹

I often get asked why I do what I do... please read 😌😌

Hi everyone 👋

People often ask me why? Why the tutu, why the wig, why the daft things in pink?

Of course, there are literally 1000's of reasons... every single person who has ever heard the words "it's cancer" is a reason. But if I was asked to say just one.... it'd be Dad ❤️‍🩹

DAD... KEITH ASH ❤️

Dad was a wonderful wonderful man. So full of life... a loving, caring Dad and Grandad, a husband, a friend. Funny and full of mischief... I have no doubt at all that he'd be right by my side in my pink antics 😌❤️‍🩹

In my mind, he is, still....❤️😌

Dad was diagnosed with lung cancer in 1987. He died in 1988, at the age of 54. I was 22.

I thought he was old when he died... that's what you think when you're young isn't it? He wasn't old, was he?.... he was 54... 😔

He never saw me married, or my children. We never did go for that pint together...💔😔

1 in 4 survived, back in 1987 😔
2 in 4 survive today 😌
3 in 4 by 2034... surely and steadily 🙂

These two are my In-laws, Margaret and Ron.

Margaret was diagnosed with inoperable breast cancer 9 years ago. She is still here, and still smiling in the sunshine this very day, thanks to pioneering cancer research 😌

Just look at that smile!❤️💟❤️

That's the why. More people, having more smiles, in their more tomorrows 😌❤️‍🩹
